The Basement Bistro

Chef-owner Damon Baehrel cooks up regional American food with the freshest possible ingredients, and his Sagecrest Catering has provided meals for more than 2,100 weddings in 15 years in the biz. The restaurant offers a tasting menu of 10 to 15 courses of whatever’s freshest that day, for a fixed price (which, like the menu, changes daily). Past menus have included pastrami salmon potato napoleons and spring sorrel salad direct from the garden—and there are theme menus such as potato and truffel tastings. The Bears’ Steakhouse
