Old-fashioned comfort food such as meat loaf, pot roast and
spaghetti in homey surroundings in a sleepy (and lately artsy)

chick’en—along with a menu of gumbo, jambalaya, ribs and more—offered
in the refurbished but nostalgic place that’s been at the
same location for nearly 40 years. Serving daily through the

371-7313. A long-thriving middle-of-the-road pizza restaurant
with good, low-priced entrées and a salad bar as well. You

Justin’s,
301 Lark St., Albany, 436-7008. The Lark Street stalwart,
now under the assured ownership of John DeJohn, continues
to offer some of the city’s best dining, with signature dishes
